(From Our Own Correspondents).

FAIRTON.

Much regret was felt in Fairton and the surrounding districts at the death in Ashburton on Thursday evening of Miss Margaret Lysaght, aged 22. The youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs Lysaght, of Fairton, she was educated at the local school and later at the Ashburton Convent School. For the last three years she was employed in the Ashburton branch of the New Zealand Farmers' Co-operative Association. Of a particularly winning disposition, Miss Lysaght endeared herself to a large circle of friends, and she was noted for her active and able part in social matters.  -Ashburton Guardian, 24/9/1926.

At the cemetery, Ashburton, the burial service was read by the Rev. Father James Hanrahan, assisted by Rev. Fathers Thomas Hanrahan and Gregory. The funeral was attended by a large number of friends and sympathisers, all the surrounding districts being represented. The pall-bearers were Messrs Reg. Smith, R. Bremner, P.
