FUNERAL NOTICE
The Funeral of the late THOMAS SERRA, of St. Saviour’s Orphanage, will leave the Timaru Hospital on SUNDAY, July 20th, at 2.45 p.m., for the Timaru Cemetery.

SUBSCRIBERS’ ANNUAL MEETING. (excerpt)
Towards the end of the year one of the Orphanage lads (Tommy Serra) died after a short illness. The Rector, Matron, Mrs Shell, Dr. TTssher and the Hospital staff did everything possible for the little sufferer, and many others showed practical sympathy. Thanks were due to Mr Lister for making no charge for the funeral, and to Mr E. S. Gibson for providing the mourning car gratis. The Committee also desired to place on record its gratitude to the “Craighead" girls who, acting upon the suggestion of the late Miss Salmond, provided a memorial tablet for the Chapel. -Timaru Herald, 18/11/1930.
