Charles F (1841-19/6/1886) and Catherine (1846-10/8/1886) Crane.

DUNEDIN, Saturday. A labouring man named Charles Crane was swept off the breakwater works at Otago Heads on Saturday afternoon into 18 feet of water. The tide was flowing and the man rose once but he failed to catch either the pieces of timber or buoys thrown to him and perished. He leaves a wife and family in Dunedin.  -Southland Times, 21/6/1886.

FUNERAL NOTICE.

THE Friends of Mr Michael Francis are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral of his late sister, Mrs Catherine Crane, relict of the late Charles Crane, which will leave her late residence, Rose Cottage, corner of Castle and St. David streets, for the Catholic Cemetery (south), To-morrow (Thursday), the 12th inst., at 3.30 p.m.
