Intimation has been received of the death on the 28th March, at Umtali, Rhodesia, South Africa, of Mr William McAdam, eldest son of Mrs McAdam, of Dunedin. The deceased gentleman was well-known in Dunedin. He was secretary for some years of the Walton Park Coal Company, and afterwards manager of the Acme Manufacturing Company. He left for South Africa nearly two years ago. He contributed an account of some of his experiences in that country to our columns, and only this week we published a letter from him, pointing out the possibilities of a large trade between this colony and South Africa. -Otago Witness, 12/4/1900.
