OBITUARY.

MRS JOHH_BEGG, JUNR

Many throughout this district will regret to learn of the death, at the comparatively early age of 34 years, of Martha Ney Campbell, wife of John Begg, junr., of Hillend. She had only been ill about a fortnight, but peritonitis set in, and to this she succumbed on Friday last. The deceased was the fifth daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Donald Campbell, of Stoney Creek, was of an obliging and kindly disposition, and was well liked by all who knew her. She had been married for only about four years, and very general sympathy is felt for the bereaved husband and the friends of the family on both sides. The remains were interred in the Balclutha Cemetery yesterday, the funeral being very largely attended. The Revs, S. W. Cunie and P. B, Fraser officiated.  -Clutha Leader, 21/4/1903.

Balclutha Cemetery.
Observant readers might notice the mistake in Martha's middle name.  This kind of thing is rare but occasionally happens.
