It is my sad duty to record the death of Mr E. Rahill, from consumption. Edward was the youngest son of Mrs Rahill, and was just 20 years of age at the time of his death. It was thought up to the last that 'Teddy' would recover, but in spite of all that loving friends or medical aid could do, he gradually sank and passed quietly away on Saturday morning. The remains are to be interred at Alexandra to-day (Monday). Much sympathy is felt for Mrs Rahill, two members of her household having been .already laid to rest, the graves being separated by 16,000 miles of briny sea. The bereaved family have the deepest sympathy of every resident in their most recent trouble. -Dunstan Times, 13/12/1895.
