EFFECT OF ELECTRIC SHOCK.
(Sp.) WELLINGTON, March 23. Coming into contact with the wireless transmitter, Lending-Aircraftman Alan Harris Hall suffered electric shock and death was instantaneous, according to advice received from the Royal New Zealand Air Force Station at Ohakea. The next-of-kin is Mr F. H. Hall, Awamoa road, Oamaru, to whom a telegram of condolence has been sent from the Prime Minister. -Ashburton Guardian, 24/3/1941.

AIRCRAFTMAN A. H. HALL
Leading Aircraftman Alan Harris Hall, eldest son of Mr P. H. Hall, of Awamoa road, Oamaru, whose death by accident at Ohakea was reported yesterday, was born at Invercargill 23 years ago. He was educated at the Oamaru South and Waitaki Boys' High Schools. After leaving school he was on the staff of the Waitaki Electric Power Board and on the outbreak of war he joined the Air Force and received training as an aircraftman at Wigram until he was transferred to Ohakea early last year. He was a member of the Old Boys' Football Club and the local company of the 1st Otago Regiment for some years. -North Otago Times, 25/3/1941.
