The death of Thomas and Anna Dodds' newborn child seems not to have been reported in the newspapers of the day. As insertions in the births, deaths and marriages columns are privately paid advertisements, it would have been a decision of the family. The gravestone, however, tells the story. Anna most likely died in childbirth, a death which often went unrecorded in public, due to the taboos around sex which existed then.
I hope that Anna and Thomas were happy together for the short time they had.
