Hoy Yow aka Ah Quay, (1836-12/4/1904). "fallen over the cliff"

A Chinaman named Ah Quay was found dead near the Skippers Creek on Tuesday morning last, having apparently fallen from a cliff. The body was brought to Johnston's Hotel on the same day, and at an inquest held on Wednesday before Coroner Hotep a verdict of "Found dead" was brought in.  -Lake Wakatip Mail, 15/4/1904.

Death. — Ah Quay, a Chinaman, mining in Skippers Creek and residing in a small hut close by the road to the Shotover quartz mine, was a well-known figure to all the diggers. On Tuesday last he was found dead in the creek, having apparently fallen over the cliff on to the creek bed. His neck was broken, and at the Coroner's inquest the verdict was "Found dead."  -Otago Witness, 20/4/1904.

I have no idea why this miner has different names but the man buried under Hoy Yow's gravestone is the man reported as Ah Quay.
