We have to record the death of Mr L. Martini, of Tunnel Terrace, near Stafford. The deceased was in his 70th year, and was a resident of over 30 years standing. He has during that time earned the respect and esteem of all who knew him for his many stirling qualities. He leaves a daughter and two sons to mourn his loss, one of whom is Mr Fred Martini, the well-known conductor of the Goldsborough Band. A large number of friends will join in extending the sincerest sympathy to the bereaved in their loss. -Greymouth Evening Star, 14/1/1904.
